"TPX (polymethylpentene)" is a resin that excels in transparency, heat resistance, and chemical resistance. As a mandrel, it has a low surface tension of 24 dyne/cm, which contributes to excellent moldability and contamination resistance. Additionally, it possesses distinctive thermal properties, demonstrating outstanding heat aging resistance and steam (boiling water) resistance. Leveraging these characteristics, it enables a reduction in the rubber vulcanization process time and processing costs during the manufacturing of rubber hoses. Its low water absorption rate also ensures good dimensional accuracy of the mandrel, allowing for excellent inner diameter precision in rubber hoses. Moreover, in recent years, it has gained attention as a mandrel for carbon products such as C-FRP, utilizing the aforementioned properties. While voids often occur with conventional equipment, our company has made it possible to minimize void formation using specialized production equipment.
